Jazz has been part of Senigallia's summers long before the Summer Jamboree made the town world-famous. Senigallia in Jazz brings Italian and international artists to one of Italy's most evocative open-air settings: Piazza Garibaldi at night, with the floodlit Rocca Roveresca and the sound of the sea a few lanes away.
Concerts typically begin at 21:30 and last around two hours. Entry is usually free or by donation — except for special concerts with major international artists. The programme ranges from traditional jazz to soul, blues and free jazz crossovers.
July in Senigallia is the richest month of the year: Senigallia in Jazz partly overlaps with 105XMasters (11–19 July), the Alfa concert, Notre Dame de Paris and the Summer Jamboree (from 31 July). Staying a week in July means access to several events without changing base.

The main venue is Piazza Garibaldi in the historic centre of Senigallia — one of the finest open squares in the Marche, with the 15th-century Rocca Roveresca as a backdrop. Concerts are outdoors; bringing something to sit on is advisable.
The festival covers traditional jazz, bebop, fusion, soul, blues and contemporary jazz. Each edition alternates leading Italian artists with international guests. The atmosphere is informal — no formal dress needed.
The Loft is at Via Carlo Pisacane 27, 5 minutes on foot from Piazza Garibaldi. After the concert you can walk back easily through the historic centre.
