June is the ideal month for sea without the crowds. The Adriatic reaches 22–24°C, the beach clubs along the Velvet Beach are already open but queues don't exist yet, and prices are noticeably lower than in July and August. Days are long: you can have an aperitivo on the promenade with daylight until nine in the evening.
On the events front, June opens the season: the June 2nd holiday weekend brings the first beach crowds, and at the end of the month the CaterRaduno arrives — Rai Radio 2's festival with free concerts on the beach and in the old town. The historic centre is lively but relaxed: the perfect moment to discover restaurants without booking weeks ahead.
